Supporting our community by creating deeper connections. healthier relationships. stronger families. better lives.

The heart of First Things First remains firmly planted in the community of our hometown – Chattanooga, Tennessee. Because making a difference in our community continues to be a top priority of our mission, we strive to offer as many free local relationship resources (events and classes) as possible in the greater Chattanooga community.

Dads learn how to:

PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS

(These programs are for the people involved in each collaborative entity and are not open to the public.)

In partnership with Hamilton County Schools

Kicking off at Calvin Donaldson and East Lake Elementary schools, we are building a supportive community of parents who are facing similar parenting challenges through programs and events designed to strengthen families. EPIC Schools creates a safe space where parents can share their questions, worries and wins. Parenting/relationship coaching is available if needed.

In partnership with the Chatt Foundation

We provide family building workshops every Thursday to parents experiencing homelessness. (Childcare provided.) Each family receives a case manager to support them as they transition to permanent housing.

In collaboration with Chattanooga area Firefighters

The RESET Marriage Program for Chattanooga Firefighter couples aims to address the many challenges that are specific to first responders and their families. Through marriage retreats, date nights and additional programming, couples will gain valuable insights and access to available resources for their relationship through First Things First, Stronger Families and local counseling.

*The cost to participate in these programs is covered by family foundations, grants and private donors from the Chattanooga area.
